SPRENGER bits simply broken
Single-jointed bits consist of two shanks joined in the middle. When the reins are pulled, the middle of the mouthpiece rises accordingly, so that the pressure is distributed more to the sides of the tongue and the center is relieved. Double-jointed bits are more suitable for horses that prefer a more even distribution of pressure across the entire tongue.
With conventional single-jointed bits, the contact area of the bit shanks is uneven because the two shanks are of different lengths due to the manufacturing process. In the SPRENGER Dynamic RS and TURNADO bit lines, as well as in the NATHE bits, the joints are angled forward by 45° to ensure an even contact area.
Single-jointed bits made of SENSOGAN
To make your horse particularly fond of its new single-jointed bit, we recommend our SENSOGAN bits . This further development of the AURIGAN alloy consists of copper, manganese, and zinc . The copper, through its oxidation properties, specifically stimulates the horse's chewing activity, thus ensuring good acceptance of the bit and simultaneously loosening the jaw muscles through chewing. For a happy and motivated horse.
You can recognize SPRENGER SENSOGAN bits by the black ring on the side pieces.
Variety of single-jointed bits at SPRENGER
Single-jointed bits are available with a variety of cheekpieces. Among the classics are the snaffle and the olive-head snaffle . For a little more lateral support, the D-ring bit or the full-cheek snaffle is often chosen. But more specialized bits like the Pelham or the gag bit are also available with a single-jointed mouthpiece. In the SPRENGER range, you're guaranteed to find the right bit for your four-legged sporting partner.
