Description

TURNADO bits represent a new generation of loose ring snaffles. Standard single jointed bits have a production related characteristic: one part of the mouthpiece is longer than the other which results in stronger influence on one tongue edge. To avoid this problem, we recommend to use TURNADO bits. The joint of these bits has been angled forward by 45 degrees in order to guarantee an even distribution of pressure on both sides of the tongue. The bit is also suitable for horses with slight tongue problems.
This special rotation is distinctly marked by a smooth satin-finished surface (sandblasting) in the middle part of the mouthpiece.

Due to the upper ring, in which the cheek piece of the snaffle is fastened, the Baucher bit offers a particularly calm and stable position in the horse's mouth.
The mouthpiece is firmly anchored to the lower ring and lies close to the tongue. The transmission of the reins can thus be even more precise.

How do I care for my stainless steel bits?

Products made of stainless steel can be easily cleaned with water and then dried. Cleaning with Sprenger "Diamond Paste" restores their radiant shine.

The robust material withstands wind and weather during long walks and training sessions and is also ideal for water rats. Thanks to the SPRENGER hook, the chain is very easy to put on without being pulled over the head and can be individually adjusted, so it also grows with young dogs. The long chain links are particularly fur-friendly and reduce hair breakage on long and fine fur. The pull-through chain offers limited traction without choking. The single-jointed bit is the classic bit par excellence. It acts on the lower jaw via the tongue. When the reins are tightened, the joint in the middle of the mouthpiece sets up slightly, relieving the middle of the tongue and directing more pressure to the edges of the tongue. Because our bits are anatomically shaped, they provide the best comfort and avoid an unpleasant nutcracker effect.

In order for Eggbutt, D-ring and full cheek bits to develop their lateral effect optimally, the side piece should lie close to the corner of the mouth. This also allows the bit to lie quietly in the horse's mouth. Due to their special fit, these bits should therefore always be selected one size smaller than classic loose ring water snaffles.
