Häufig gestellte Fragen
Which horses are KK ULTRA bits suitable for?
KK ULTRA bits are particularly suitable for horses with thin tongues, as the twist in the centre piece prevents pressure points on the tongue. Thanks to their straighter mouthpiece shape, they are also suitable for horses with a lot of lip flesh, which is thus not pinched at the corners of the mouth. The space-saving design and slim profile mean it fits comfortably even in small mouths.
How do you correctly fit a snaffle bit and a curb bit?
The under-saddle bridle should correspond in width and shape to a conventional snaffle bit and be approximately 12–14 mm thick.
The curb bit sits lower in the mouth and should end close to the corner of the mouth. For this reason, it is usually chosen one size smaller than the under-saddle bridle.
The chin strap should be fastened so that there is an angle of approximately 30° to 45° between the mouth opening and the chin strap.
When the reins are held, the two bits must not touch each other.
